- Foux du FaFa (Flight of the Concords) This video teaches students the value of learning how and when to use expressions in French, and that learning long lists of vocabulary words is meaningless. Synopsis: Jemaine has his eye on a girl that works at the bakery. He wants Bret to go in the shop with him but Bret is reluctant because he doesn't like croissants. Eventually Jemaine convinces him to be his 'wingman'. While speaking to the girls, Jemaine tries speaking a bit of French and they launch into a 1960s French style music video singing "Foux Du Fafa".
- Use APK (activate prior knowledge) picture cards below with students and the ask the question - Why would it be important to learn French for each scenario? Students will APK and share creative answers.
